Modern portable speakers constantly improve in quality, performance, and battery life, however they rarely innovate on their base function. The Encircle speaker system is a conceptual next step in the right direction, with the incorporation of true, portable surround sound. The design consists of a group of seven speakers that function together as a single portable speaker, but can be separated to encapsulate the user in sound.

Plastic parts are set back as far as possible and a short foot is placed at each end to prevent it from rolling. Transparent acrylic discs at the ends are the controllers.
